Hi All,

Welcome to our Guild Forum. We are a small bunch of WoW players who have gelled together in our own merry band called 'Fortis Est Veritas', on the Eldre'Thalas (US) server. To us it means 'Strength is in Truth'. That's how we conduct ourselves in game, just like in real life. We are true to each other, respect each other and even though we refer to each other as our online 'toon' name, we know there are real people behind those toons and we cherish those people.

Fortis has been around a long time. The Guild was started more than 2 years back with the name 'The Mooses' and had a handful of players. In due time the name got changed to 'Fortis Est Veritas' and we kept adding people very very slowly. We had real life friends joining in, people we played almost daily with joining in and people brought their friends in. Word of mouth is how we got people. Naturally it has been slow. We never actively recruited, but the need was never felt.

We are a casual bunch of gamers and even though most of us logon daily, we can't be online for more than 3-4 hours on weekdays. Weekends is a whole different story . But being casual does not mean that we can't experience the exciting content, end game, etc. In the past we have teamed up with lots of friends and allies and successfully done lot of end game stuff. Before the expansion we were very active in MC/Ony/ZG/A20 and we were very successful. Having such wonderful guildmates and friends really does help. We trust each other and can rely on each other.

And now that we are still here in expansion and still having fun, we are ready to welcome more people to our group. We are looking for active players of any class and of any level. We hope that you will be fairly independent, have your own individuality and can gel well with others. We play this game for fun and as such we don't put loot/content/etc ahead of having a nice time with our friends. This does not mean that we don't aim for better loot and content experience. All this means is that if you are looking for fast track route to epic lootz, then we are not the guild you are looking for. But if you are looking to be part of a fun team that works its way up from the ground floor. Doing the raids its own way, maximising fun, sidetracking into PvP for those slow days, or just chilling out with guildies, is what we are about. With all that, we are skilled at what we do and we do believe that people who know us respect us for what we are.

So if you like what you are reading and would like to try us out, tell us. We would appreciate it if you could post about yourself on the recruitment thread so we can know a little bit about you.

Some things to note before you go ahead:

1) We are primarily an Oceanic guild. we have players from Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, India, Australia, etc. But we also have players from Switzerland, Sweden, Germany, Canada, US and even 1 mad guy from Brazil :P.

2) Most of us play around 9AM server time on weekdays. And almost all the time on weekends.

3) We are currently doing Karazhan on Week days. Gruul, ZA and TK are on Weekends.

4) We do help lower level players with their quests and instances, but only if they are really in a fix or we are totally bored. We believe that you really learn your class and play style if you do level appropriate content and instances, with similar level groups. No point carrying anyone through levels if they are gonna arrive in end game not knowing how to play.
